Welcome back to Air Fryer Bro. Today we are looking at the best air fryers for use in an RV. There are a lot of people in America that either live in or enjoy the use of an RV. Around one million live in them full time and around nine million households own an RV. That’s a lot of people that might be wondering whether they can use an air fryer in their RV. Today we hope to answer those questions as well as let you know which air fryers are best for RV use.
What to Consider When Using an Air Fryer in an RV?
Space
For a lot of RV users, they simply don’t have as much kitchen space to burn than someone living in a regular house. Even a big RV might find that having an air fryer takes up a lot of counter space. For this reason, I will only recommend air fryers that can be easily stored away in a cupboard when not in use.
Power
Of course, power will vary from RV to RV. Some people live in their RV permanently and could be hooked up to mains power 24/7. For them, the power usage of an air fryer is not as important. However, if you are out in the wilds living off your RVs batteries and/or generator, power usage should be much more of a consideration.
Another factor is the power circuits within your RV. From my air fryer research project, I found that the average air fryer is using around 1400 watts of power. Typically, an RV will use a 110 volt electrical system with 20-amp circuit breakers in the kitchen area. That 1400 watt air fryer will draw just under 13 amps under those conditions, so it is within the limits of the 20 amp breaker.
Just remember you will only have 7 amps left, so be sure to unplug any other high watt appliances on the same circuit when you use an air fryer on an RV. If you are lucky, your RV might have a 30 amp circuit breaker and give you more breathing space.
To put this into perspective, a typical microwave is often somewhere around the 700 to 1000 watt mark, so an air fryer can be considered even more of a power drain than that.
Best Air Fryer for an RV (when power is NOT a concern)
Whether you have the best solar system in the world or are permanently plugged into the mains power, when power is not your main concern this is the air fryer I would recommend.

Best Air Fryer for an RV (when power IS a concern)
Maybe you are in a smaller RV, or maybe you are often relying on the batteries in your RV to power your appliances. This is when you need a much more energy efficient scenario.

Best Air Fryer for an RV (When space IS a concern)
Now we get to those RV users that have tiny compact kitchens. For them, space is the ultimate concern. This would be the air fryer I would buy in this situation.
Elite Gourmet EAF-0201BL Personal Air Fryer
This Elite Gourmet air fryer comes in at only 2 quarts in size, meaning it is one of the most compact air fryer models on the market. It is possible to buy a 1 quart air fryer, but frankly at that size it is hardly worth owning (unless you eat like a mouse). I find the 2 quart size is a good compromise of space usage and cooking area. Although, 2 quarts is still pretty small 🙂
If space is your number one concern, this is the unit for you. It also has rotary dials only, so is less likely to have electrical issues. It comes in a funky retro styled moulding too, mostly brought about by the available mint color option.
Other than that, this unit is a pretty bog standard air fryer. It uses 1000 watts, pretty much the lowest wattage you will find on any air fryer (apart from that mouse sized 1 quart effort!).
Finally, this air fryer is simply the easiest of those recommended to pack away into a cupboard when not in use.

The Best “halfway house” Air Fryer for an RV!!
As the name suggests, this air fryer is supposed to be somewhere in the middle of the road. Not super compact, not mega power hungry…..somewhere in between!
NUWAVE BRIO 6-Quart Digital Air Fryer
This Nuwave Brio air fryer is one of the biggest here, coming in at 6 quarts in size. The thing that makes this unit handy for the RV user is the fact it offers wattage control. This means you can select different wattage settings based on what power is available in your RV.
The three wattage settings are 900W, 1500W and 1800W. Just be aware that changing the wattages will also change your cook times. I would read the air fryer’s manual extensively to get a handle on how this works.
Other than this, the unit is a pretty basic air fryer. The only other interesting feature is a divider to split your cooking compartment into two. Useful if you want to cook two different things at the same time.

Okay I actually looked into the Panasonic 4 in 1 that was recommended here, I contacted Panasonic for some built in install details as it can be built in. However Panasonic does not recommend this microwave, it has not be tested for a mobile vehicle use. Thought you should know that and reconsider your recommendation. Thanks
