Welcome back to Air Fryer Bro and another one of our round up reviews of top air fryers! We have already done lists of our best air fryers under $50 and $100, but today is the day we push the boat out a little more and discuss our favorite air fryers in the under $200 bracket! Read on if you are thinking of buying an air fryer in this price range….

Why Should I Buy an Air Fryer for Under $200?

Personally, I feel that $200 is a good sweet spot for an air fryer. You can buy something that will perform well and be longer lasting than some of the options in lower price brackets. There are still some duds here though, so you still always need to do your own research before buying a product from this price bracket.

Air Fryer Oven or Basket Style?

In this round up review I will detail the two main categories of electric air fryer, the air fryer oven and the traditional bucket or basket style air fryer. But which is best for you? Generally speaking, the air fryer oven is for those that wish to have larger cooking compartments and can afford their appliance to take up a larger amount of counter real estate in their kitchen. Whereas the more traditional bucket or basket style air fryer is good for those that need a more mobile unit and one that takes up less space.

If you want to read about all the advantages and disadvantages of both options, we do have a whole article talking about the subject of air fryer basket vs air fryer oven.

Best Traditional Basket Air Fryers Under $200

Before we get into it, I want to say that all the air fryers recommended here are from Amazon. If you wish to view any of them over at Amazon yourself simply click on the product image. This will help you find out the current pricing and availability (among other things!!).

Ninja DZ201 Foodi 6-in-1 2-Basket Air Fryer

There are not many basket or bucket style air fryers that I would recommend at this price point, but this Ninja dual basket model is one example of something I wholeheartedly do recommend.

Ninja don’t just sit back and churn out bog standard air fryers for the masses, even now that they are considered one of the most recognized air fryer brands out there! They always seem to want to come up with something unique, and this case is no different.

This is actually the first time I have seen anyone attempting this style of air fryer with two cooking compartments. To me this is genius, as it helps get rid of a problem I often have with this type of traditional air fryer. When cooking more than one type of food at the same time (maybe you want to cook a whole meal in your air fryer) it can be tricky to have enough room or to stack the food inside properly.

This problem is completely avoided by giving you two separate baskets. You don’t have to worry about cross contamination of food, so can be a bit more relaxed about the whole thing! Not only that, you can also set each basket to have completely different temperatures and cook times! Genius!

On top of excellent functionality, I really like the simple but sleek design that Ninja went for with this dual basket air fryer. I think it would look great on almost any kitchen counter!

Ninja also has one of the better levels of quality in the air fryer market, so you can expect this air fryer to be more long lasting.

The only downside of this type of layout is it would be harder to cook larger items such as whole roast chickens in this unit.

Philips Premium Analog Airfryer with Fat Removal Technology

Pretty much the only other type of traditional air fryer I would recommend at this price point is a Philips one.

I have owned a Philips air fryer myself for quite a number of years and can personally vouch for the high quality they offer. For example, the non-stick coating on air fryers is notoriously bad at coming off way too fast on many air fryer brands! With my Philips, it is still going strong after all these years.

I totally get why many people shy away from Philips, though! Look at this example, you are getting an analogue based traditional air fryer that is quite small in size (3 quarts) for a fraction under $200. Most people not in the know would think you would have to be ‘crazy’ to buy such a thing!

I personally think it is worth it to buy an air fryer for slightly more if it will last longer and be of higher quality. I have heard many nightmare stories of other high priced air fryers only lasting a few months or a year. With Philips, this is less likely to happen!

I just wish Philips would innovate a bit more, they have had pretty much the same design and features on their air fryers for the best part of a decade 🙂

Best Air Fryer Ovens under $200

Kalorik 26 QT Digital Maxx Air Fryer Oven

This Kalorik air fryer oven really is a beast at this price point. It is a whopping 26 quarts in size, so is pretty much one of the largest air fryers that money can buy! It also has a quality feel to it with its extensive use of stainless steel in the design.

Cooking for a whole family? You will have no worries here, even if you want to use this oven as your main cooking method. The flexibility here is amazing. You can air fry, broil, dehydrate and even make a rotisserie chicken in the same unit. This is backed up by an excellent set of accessories that come included with this air fryer oven, something you won’t always find with other brands.

You have probably never heard of Kalorik, but they are making quite a name for themselves in the air fryer oven market. I wasn’t able to find a single model of theirs that had been reviewed poorly by users, which is a great sign.

This air fryer oven really does offer great value at $200! And if large capacity is what you want, this is the electric air fryer for you 🙂

Ninja SP101 Foodi 8-in-1 Digital Air Fry

Ninja really did knock it out of the park with this particular air fryer oven. Again, they went against normal wisdom by offering an appliance that is shorter than most other ovens around. They recognize that a lot of people want to cook pizzas and cakes in their air fryer though, so they retained the depth to allow this.

However, by shortening the height of the oven, they were able to include a unique feature. This air fryer oven can actually fold up when not in use. This is great for people that want an air fryer oven but also want to save some counter space in their kitchen. When the oven is not in use, simply fold it up!! As well as saving space, this feature also makes it a much easier to clean oven.

Ninja are also the kings of simplicity when it comes to kitchen appliances. Just take a look at the control panel if you want a lesson in ease of use!

Other than that, it is a pretty typical air fryer oven, but you have the peace of mind that you are buying from one of the better quality brands in this space in Ninja.

Consumers seem to agree, with this unit having over 7000 ratings over at Amazon at the time of writing and hovering around the 4.7 out of 5 mark! So if you want a user friendly, easy to clean and space saving unit, this is what I would recommend 🙂

OMMO 17 Quart Air Fryer Oven

This Ommo air fryer oven is also an excellent choice at this price point. It offers a good sized appliance, as well as making a wide variety of cooking methods available to you.

Yes, it has the cooking methods you would expect, such as the rotisserie, dehydrating, baking, air frying and roasting options seen on the other models here. However, OMMO have also included an air fryer basket in the form of a cylinder that rotates as it cooks. This is awesome for cooking things such as french fries evenly, without the need to manually shake the food you are cooking. The cooking functions on offer here are simply insane!!

They have also thought of the small details when designing this air fryer oven, as it even comes with a drip tray to put at the bottom of the cooking compartment!

The only real downside here is that you are buying from OMMO, an unheard of brand in the air fryer world. In this situation it is vital that you do some research as to the experiences people have had after buying this appliance. I would do this with any air fryer I buy, but it is especially important when looking at an unknown brand.

Luckily, this air fryer oven is very highly rated at the time of writing. Most user reviews are singing the unit’s praises pretty much across the board. So I don’t think you have much to worry about here.

A minor gripe for me would be the design, which looks pretty basic (and even ugly) to me personally. If you are looking for a sleek-looking air fryer oven, this isn’t the one for you 🙂

There you have it, our top 5 favorite air fryers under $200. You can forget those instant pots, toaster ovens and convection ovens for now and get ready for awesome air fried chicken wings and fries 🙂 Trust me, hot air is the way to go 🙂 If you have any experience buying air fryers in this price range, we would love to hear all about it in the comments section below.
