Unboxing & First Impressions of the Air Fryer
I have to say that Cosori immediately impressed me with their unboxing experience. I can remember when Cosori first came out on the air fryer scene, they had well liked appliances but their design and attention to detail didn’t seem to be a huge concern. It clearly is now!
The box of this Cosori air fryer sets you off on the right foot. It has been well designed and looks very high end as far as air fryers go! Then when you open the box you are greeted to welcome messages on the inside flaps. Delving deeper in, you see that they have provided a nice envelope with the air fryer manual and recipe book inside.
My first impressions of the actual air fryer appliance are good too. This has to be one of the most modern and sleek designs Cosori has come out with to date!
As I unboxed this air fryer, I was amazed at how little the ‘plastic smell’ was coming from the unit or the packaging. I know a lot of air fryer owners hate this and it made me wonder whether Cosori has done anything to try to minimize this. Or maybe I just got lucky!
All in all, I was highly impressed with what I saw initially from this Cosori Pro LE air fryer!
Who are Cosori?
When you buy an air fryer, you want to know you are buying from a good brand, right? Cosori is a company that has grown in stature in the air fryer world since its inception in 2016. They started out making generic looking appliances, which became very popular and reviewed well. More recently, Cosori has been showing more innovation and design in their air fryers.
Their air fryers are designed in their headquarters in California, but their actual air fryers are manufactured in China.
All in all, Cosori has become a top tier air fryer brand that you can trust. This is backed up by the fact they offer a two-year warranty on this particular air fryer.

What I Like about the Cosori Pro LE Air Fryer?
I have to say I am mightily impressed with this design from Cosori. It is simple yet sleek, elegant and modern. It would look great in any modern or minimalist designed kitchens, in my opinion.
Looking at their past air fryer designs, this is clearly a massive step up! They must have upgraded their design team, I can tell you.
You really feel that you are using a premium product when you unbox and use this air fryer.
I have had issues with some of the other air fryers I have reviewed lately, that the outside gets too hot, meaning it is not well insulated. As well as being a slight safety issue, this also tells me that the air fryer is leaking a lot of heat and is therefore not so energy efficient.
I am happy to report that this Cosori air fryer is very well insulated. Even after running it for some time, you can barely feel any heat when you touch the outer casing of the air fryer.
This is a sign of a quality and well-made air fryer.
Button Release for Air Fryer Basket
I have seen other air fryers trying to have a button release mechanism to get the air fryer basket out of the appliance. However, most of the time, these have come across as cheap and unreliable.
This is the approach that Cosori has gone with this air fryer as well, but I am happy to report that I actually like this one. It has a solid feel to it and works reliably. This is what button releases should always be like 🙂
Digital panels are also something I am not always a fan of with air fryers, as they can be low quality and not responsive. Luckily, Cosori has made sure that this example is high quality, and it is one of the most responsive I have seen on an air fryer.
It’s a good job as, to maintain the air fryers’ sleek looks, they have gone for a digital display only approach. No physical buttons to be seen!
Thankfully, I personally found the digital control panel easy to use and fits well with the modern feel of this air fryer.
This air fryer worked very well when I tried it out with a few of my typical air fryer favorites. The timings were the same as my usual go to Philips air fryer, and the crisp I got with the Cosori was excellent. No complaints about cooking performance here.
Another impressive thing about this air fryer was the noise, or lack of it. This has to be one of the quietest air fryers I have personally used, giving out a mere whirring sound rather than the intense blowing of many other competitors.
This will go down well with many consumers, as noise is a complaint I here often when it comes to air fryers. If you hate noise, this could be the air fryer for you.
At the time of writing, this is not the cheapest air fryer around. However, for the level of quality and design you are getting here, I would say that the current pricing is very competitive.
If you want similar levels of quality and design, you would need to buy a Ninja or a Philips air fryer, which would cost you considerably more.
Cosori have really come up with a great package here, and slapped on a price that rounds it off nicely!
What I Don’t Like about the Cosori Pro LE Air Fryer?
The Air Fryer Basket Insert
This air fryer comes with a typical air fryer basket setup that I have seen many times before. It comes with a metal basket insert that acts as a raised platform to place your food on. Any juice or oil that comes out of the food you are cooking will be drained to the bottom of the basket.
The problem I have is that the basket insert feels cheap in comparison with the rest of this air fryer, and at the beginning it was hard to place inside the air fryer. I understand they want a snug fit, but the first few times I felt like placing it inside the basket was about to break it!
It’s not a massive issue, just a minor gripe. And it does get slightly better over time.
Slight Fit Issues
Again, not a major issue here, but more of another minor gripe! You can see that Cosori has been going for a high end design and finish with this air fryer, which they have mostly achieved. I just found some minor fit issues with how the air fryer basket slots into the appliance. It slides in smoothly, but the corners of the air fryer basket are slightly sticking out.
Would I Recommend the Cosori Pro LE Air Fryer?
For me, this is such an easy recommendation. I think that Cosori has really knocked it out of the park with this air fryer and has shown other brands such as Ninja and Philips that they can compete with them too!
With this air fryer, you get a well thought out, well built and modern appliance that will be a pleasure to use and will look good in the process. I just love the modern and sleek design!
There were a couple of minor annoyances with this air fryer, but this is not enough to stop me from highly recommending this product.
I just hope that this is not a one off for Cosori, and that they build on the success of this unit. I hope this signals the quality and design standards they will adhere to going forward.
Cosori, call me impressed! If you try this air fryer, I am sure you will be too 🙂 Click the image below to see it for yourself over at your local Amazon store 🙂
